This building is located along Claro M. Recto Avenue in Manila. This became the main terminal of the Luzon Railways date back to the Spanish period. Old houses and sturctures in this area, including the house of Andres Bonifacio were demolished to give way to the construction of this terminal in 1870s. Today, some of the original bricks that were used in the original terminal are still there, highlighting some vintage equipments that were being used during the colonial period.

This is the Kapitan Pepe building in Avenida, still standing after surviving earthquakes, fires, typhoons, and even the World War II… It may be a high class hotel then, indicated in its WW2 photo. Today, the building has a motel located at the third floor, oftenly receiving complaints from the nearby establishments because of its poor fire and electrical plan and the absence of sanitation inspection report.
